Game On!

So, the Sims 3 was sort of a place holder for Skyrim. I have been playing this game pretty much every day since it came out on the 11th. It is amazing. I usually play a thief/assassin type in these kinds of games, but this time I'm being a warrior type. Two-handed ax and everything. It is super fun. I've never really been good at caster type characters, maybe I'll try that next.

I love this type of game because you could play it three different ways and find something new every time. I suppose I should stop doing every single side quest I come across or there won't be anything new the next time around.

In mom/baby land things are pretty great. BB has had a stuffy/runny nose for the past few days but no fever so I'm not too concerned about it.

Last week at my breastfeeding group we had a bit of an accident. I forgot to pack an extra onesie for BB, so thank you Murphy's Law for coming into play. BB got his onesie very wet with pee, so I took it off and put it in the wet bag with the diaper before I realized that was the only article of clothing I had for him, besides a new diaper. It was even more soaked with urine from the diaper in the wetbag so putting it back on was not an option. I ended up walking around with him half nuddie in my ergo carrier getting a few weird looks from the volunteer ladies.

I felt bad that I had to put him in the cold car seat sans clothing, but he did just grand and didn't seem to mind at all. I've had time to get over it but I felt like a terrible person at the time. Even though I had all the moms in the group telling me he would be fine, and that it happens.

Another mom fail, BB fell off the bed the other day. We had already removed the bed frame in case this happened, so the bed wasn't as high as it used to be but it still sucked for BB. I think it scared him way more that in actually hurt. He sat up near the edge of the bed and went over is my guess (because that is also what happened on his crib mattress on the floor). I was mopping the floor and I heard the fall. I was in the room before he actually cried and I felt bad all day. I'm now trying to get him to nap on the floor in "his" room, but so far it has been a no go. Hopefully soon. I'd like to be able to do stuff while he naps again, without having to wear him.

Don't get me wrong, I love baby wearing, but sometimes I like to be just me. Not me with a baby hanging off me.
